Getting around Athirappilly

It is a day-trip destination, not a stay. The falls are a 15-minute walk down from the entrance, Vazhachal is another 5km along, and the whole thing fits in four or five hours including lunch at Chalakudy.

It is a steep path with steps. Not suitable for anyone with knee trouble, and genuinely slippery in the rain.
