What the rate includes
The per-km rate covers the vehicle, fuel and the driver. The daily allowance (bata) covers his food and stay on multi-day trips. Night allowance applies when driving falls between 10pm and 6am.
What it does not include
Tolls, parking, entry permits and interstate taxes are charged at actuals, with receipts. Hill routes such as Munnar, Vagamon and Wayanad carry a surcharge on some vehicles because of the load on the engine and brakes — we tell you that figure at the time of quoting, never afterwards.
